Now you may be asking...
What is the Makerspace?
In the Clemson Makerspace, we are a team dedicated to the quality and service to students. All of our technology available is free for students to use, and the staff is here to help. What started as a simple idea back in the Fall of 2015, has blossomed into an environment that fosters collaboration and creativity across all majors. We offer students technology to create anything they might dream up. By providing training on the 3D printers and laser cutter housed in the space, we enable even the most basic level beginner to use our resources. Although we have already seen this program expand tremendously since it initially began, we hope to see it continue to expand to more disciplines.

The Cooper location is better suited for more creatively oriented projects, and includes our vinyl cutting machines and the Direct-to-Garment fabric printer. Clemson Immersive Space
"The Clemson University Immersive Space features a variety of virtual and augmented reality headsets to help students, faculty and researches develop projects for VR. The space was successfully funded by the Information Technology Student Advisory Board and is operated in partnership with Clemson University's VR Club."
IT Student Advisory Board
"The IT Student Advisory board is a governance group comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from across the colleges at Clemson University. The board’s main purpose is to provide feedback to the CIO and CCIT senior Staff on business and strategic decisions, but we also have the unique opportunity to drive 10% of the student IT fees towards IT related projects and initiatives. In the past, this 10% has led to the funding of projects ranging from mobile development to the purchasing of new printers and other technologies in the library and academic buildings across campus."
Adobe Digital Studio
"The Adobe Digital Studio is an open-access learning space dedicated to providing students with digital production skills and the technology to use them. Our mission is to ensure the digital literacy of our students in order to guarantee their success both in the classroom and on the job market."
